KEEPING MACHINE TOOLS COOL

The machine tool industry is a vital manufacturing sector in the United States. Machine tools are used to cut and form the metal used by the industrial world. Shearing equipment, metal etching, rivet and drilling machines are all forms of machine tools.

Machine tool controls are typically housed in cabinet enclosures to protect against cutting oil and the airborne debris typical in an industrial environment. These enclosures generate heat, which can damage sensitive electronics, leading to costly down time. Keeping the electronics cool in such challenging environments requires closed-loop cooling. The need for closed-loop cooling is one reason Kooltronic’s TrimLine Series Air Conditioners have become popular choices for cooling machine tool controls.



  




The TrimLine Series is ideal for indoor applications and can be mounted from a variety of locations on a cabinet panel or door. Standard features include a built-in condensate evaporator, thermostatic low temperature control, EMI/RFI suppressor and a durable steel enclosure with baked powder finish. The TrimLine Series is offered with a range of 2,000 to 16,000 BTU/H and is designed with a slim width to take up less space on a cabinet. Most units are offered with environmentally-friendly CFC-free refrigerant. All units are UL Listed or Recognized.

Kooltronic offers replacement filters for the TrimLine Series. The filters consist of a multi-layer grid of sturdy corrugated aluminum, securely held in a one-piece aluminum frame. These filters are washable and reuseable.
