Kooltronic was recently contacted by US Enrichment regarding replacement of Kooltronic Air Conditioner model KAC8-52. This unit was retired from use at their Ohio facility, which contracts with the United States Department of Energy to produce enriched uranium for use in nuclear power plants. Based on the serial number, this unit was manufactured in 1979.
As a point of reference, when this unit was made, Jimmy Carter was President, Kramer vs. Kramer was #1 at the box office and milk was $1.00 a gallon.
