FEATURES
Defrost Control Thermostatically activated defrost control (standard) is provided to automatically prevent frost build-up in ducted units.
Maintenance Virtually maintenance free -- the system requires only occasional cleaning and filter changing. The unit is easy to service and the energy exchanger element simply slides out for easy cleaning.
COMPONENTS
Energy Exchanger The TherMax energy exchanger design employs the exceptional energy transfer efficiency of non-corrosive space age polymers. There are no moving parts to wear out or break down.
Motors Energy-efficient motors are permanently lubricated to ensure minimal maintenance and long life.
Cabinet The entire system is contained in a heavy-gauge, industrial grade steel cabinet, which is sealed from moisture and dirt, and painted with a durable, corrosion-resistant, baked powder paint.*
Blowers The blowers feature precision-balanced blower wheels for vibration-free operation.
Control Independently controlled blowers are provided with either a two-speed manual control or a variable speed control, depending on model selected.
Filters Separate filters are installed in both airstreams to protect the energy transfer surfaces from particulate build-up and to remove airborne dust, dirt, and pollen. (TW Series features a single filter to clean both airstreams.)
Insulation Foil-faced 1", 3 lb. density fiberglass is used for effective insulation and sound absorption, in all ducted units.
* Except TDV 1000/1400 and larger models which feature a galvanized steel cabinet.
All TW and TDV Series Ventilators are UL Listed.
Warranty
The TherMax energy exchanger element carries a limited lifetime warranty. The entire unit carries a 5-year warranty on parts and workmanship.
